Skyfold Classic Operable Walls Design Tips
Since Skyfold Classic Operable Walls are modular systems, the information below provides:
a) A quick reference when determining space requirements for your Skyfold Classic needs.
b) The parameters that will enable you to utilize Skyfold Classic Operable Walls in the most cost-effective way.
An 8’- 1” (2465 mm) finished ceiling height is required. If the customer can drop to a height of 8’- 0” (2440 mm), a row of panels is eliminated, thus reducing the cost of the wall.
The minimum wall length that can be manufactured without modifying Skyfold Classic 51, Skyfold Classic 55, Classic 60 or Classic NRC is 11’-3" (3430 mm). There are no restrictions on maximum wall length.
Below are the panel length restrictions for our ceiling heights:
It is more economical for the customer if the wall lengths stay within the above noted increments, without going over.
Example 2: (for walls based on the above height restrictions)
24’ (7315 mm) long wall instead of 25’ (7620 mm) = 2 panels on the length instead of 3.
60’ (18,290 mm) long wall instead of 61’ (18,595 mm) = 5 panels on the length instead of 6.
Skyfold Classic 60 can accommodate a maximum 28’-2” (8585 mm) ceiling height.
All other Skyfold Classic Operable Walls can accommodate a maximum 36’-0” (11000 mm) ceiling height.
Incorporating the above guidelines will result in substantial savings for the customer.
