DTE Energy, one of Michigan’s leading energy suppliers, opened a service center in Mt. Clemens. DTE wanted a unique and exciting space for their employees to work and gather. Together with Tetra Tech, they chose Skyfold’s vertically folding retractable walls.
A Skyfold Mirage® was used to separate a large conference room from an adjacent town square meeting area. A Skyfold Classic™ 51 wall intersects the Mirage wall to further divide the conference room in half. With a “T” configuration such as this, DTE has the option to keep the space as one large communal area, or to create two to three smaller rooms when need be. Four different finishes were applied to the Classic model, including a custom paint to match flowing bulk head above. The combination of Mirage and Classic walls not only lends visual interest, but also allows for natural light to carry through the entire space.
DTE uses these spaces for various purposes, and with the versatility that Skyfold offers, Skyfold is proving to be an outstanding choice. These spaces can be transformed quickly and easily, whether it is for employee training or a quarterly update meeting.
