Skyfold is proud to highlight one of their recent installations at Syracuse University’s newly expanded Lally Athletics Complex in Syracuse, NY. This state-of-the-art football athletics training center continues to set a new standard for collegiate athletic facilities, and Skyfold is honored to have contributed to the facility’s versatility and performance.

As part of the expansive new addition, a Skyfold Classic STC 60 stepped vertical retractable wall was installed between two primary training rooms. The wall is located in the linebacker/defensive end meeting room, providing the coaching staff with the flexibility to adapt the space instantly based on daily needs. BR Johnson served as the distributor for this installation, ensuring a seamless process from planning to completion.

The Skyfold Classic’s high STC rating delivers exceptional sound isolation, allowing two separate training groups to conduct lectures, meetings, or film sessions simultaneously without interference, an essential advantage for a busy Division I football program.

When the program requires larger gatherings, the wall retracts vertically into the ceiling, creating one expansive open training space. This seamless transition supports everything from small-group work to full-team meetings.

Syracuse University partnered with The Hayner Hoyt Corporation as the general contractor and Gensler, the architectural firm based in Washington, D.C., to bring this project to life.

This installation showcases how innovative vertical retractable wall solutions like Skyfold, with support from distributors such as BR Johnson, can elevate training environments, enhance collaboration, and maximize space efficiency. Skyfold is proud to support Syracuse University as they continue investing in the development and success of their student-athletes.
