The Wayne State University: Mike Ilitch School of Business opened to students in Fall 2018. The $40 million investment is 125,000 square feet (approximately 11,613 square meters) and features a two-story atrium, 256-seat Lear Auditorium, and a rooftop terrace.
The Skyfold team worked alongside SmithGroup JJR and L.S. Brinker to provide two Skyfold Mirage® walls to separate one large classroom from the atrium. The University is thrilled with the product’s ease-of-use, speed, and its outstanding look.

When closed, the rooms are perfect for studying, classes or more private meetings. When the walls are opened, the rooms become a seamless extension of our atrium, allowing us to host much larger events.”

Our glass walls, now with STC 33 (RW 33), allows for natural light to filter into the space while maintaining privacy when needed.
The standard Mirage panels consist of a clear single laminated glass, but a variety of other options—such as frosted glass for extra privacy—are also available, including multiple panel frame colors.
