Skyfold is proud to showcase one of our recent installations at the Saint John Resort, a historic property once used as a Catholic seminary and now a unique destination where luxury and purpose meet—donating 100% of its profits to charity. Among its many elegant spaces is the Monarch Ballroom, used for weddings, large meetings, and special events. To bring greater flexibility to this venue, the ownership team partnered with us to integrate a custom Skyfold® vertical retractable wall system.

Before selecting Skyfold, the owners, facilities team, and Resendes Design Group visited the Kresge Foundation in Troy, Michigan, to see a Skyfold wall in action. They were immediately impressed by its effortless operation, exceptional acoustics, seamless architectural integration, and the strong satisfaction expressed by current users. Seeing these advantages firsthand made Skyfold the clear choice.

Because the Monarch Ballroom is a highly utilized space where floor area and quick event turnarounds are critical, the team needed a solution that preserved square footage, provided strong sound separation, and delivered a standout “wow” factor for prospective clients. Skyfold met all of these needs while fitting seamlessly into the ballroom’s refined aesthetic.

Feedback from the resort has been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for the wall’s ease of use, sound control, and the way it blends naturally into the space.

Skyfold is honored to support a venue as meaningful and memorable as the Saint John Resort. This installation exemplifies how smart technology and thoughtful design can elevate both the functionality and the experience of a premier event space.
